Agrapart: Great Chardonnay
The Arthur Agrapart domain, which now belongs to Pascal Agrapart, symbolizes the tradition of Champagne. Extending on 12 hectares, the Agrapart vineyard is rather modest. But it produces 90,000 bottles a year of a great Chardonnay. It has three subsoils comprising clay and limestone in different proportions. The appellation includes 4 Grands Crus, some of which are very accessible. A bottle of Terroirs Grands Crus can cost between 50 and 60 euros.
The Agrapart have an exceptional density and brightness which is a characteristic of them. With this wine, is a joy to the nose. It has chalky notes, in the middle of lime and narcissus aromas. On the other hand, on the palate, it is delicate, the secret of Agrapart wines is the perfect control of the maturation of the grapes. At the table, very digestible, it will go perfectly with a well-chosen fish. Its bottles have good aging potential, most of the production can be kept for up to 15 years.
