Lafite Rothschild

With its 178 hectares (including 103 hectares of vineyards), the Chateau Lafite Rothschild is part of the most emblematic domains of Médoc. A Lafite Rohtschild wine is synonymous of quality. The brand was classified "Premier Grand Cru" in the classification of Bordeaux wines in 1855. Taking the name of the family of the place, Lafite, the domain settled not far away from the community of Pauillac, on a limestone hillside.
The wines, have already reached historical sales, particularly at the beginning of the last century. Lafite-Rothschild wines were sold at record prices, for example in 1900 and 1926. 1921 and 1945 were also part of its legendary harvests. But still today, its production attract oenologist: the vintages of 2000 and 2005 are the blatant evidence. Moreover, Lafite Rothschild wines are among the most prestigious wines of Bordeaux. Famous expert Robert Parker granted the score of 100/100, 4 times to the Lafite Rothschild brand in 1986, 1996, 2003, 2010.
