The Castle Mission Haut-Brion owes its name and its reputation to the priests of the congregation of the mission, which owned it from 1682 until the revolution. The Mission Haut-Brion had several different owners until 1983, when Clarence Dillon, already owner of the Haut-Brion Castle, acquired this territory. Clarence Dillon domain currently cultivates 26 ha 60 of this marvellous classified growth of graves. From the appellation Pessac-Leognan, located in Talence just outside of Bordeaux and produces around 70 800 bottles of wine per year, enough to please a large number of wine lovers. Mission Haut-Brion's wines are known for its sometimes audacious and authentic vinifications, to the smell it is intense and rich with aromas of black cherries, blackberries and spices. A wine with a fruity taste, juicy, full and tasty.
As for the white Castle Mission Haut-Brion of Pessac-Leognan, it is a very limited production, it is cultivated on 2 ha 55 of vineyard with nearly 84% of semillon and 16% sauvignon. This dry wine has all the particularities of a great sweet wine. An unctuous wine, with rich aromas, its acia and honey aromas appeal to a great number of white wine lovers.
