Pomerol: exceptional wines
When talking about quality Bordeaux wines , it is difficult without mentioning the Pomerol appellation. The Pomerol includes one of the most expensive wines in the world: the Petrus, whose price regularly exceeds several thousand euros. This domain of 770 hectares, extends on the right bank of the Gironde, on a partially ferruginous subsoil, composed of sand and clay, and has an oceanic climate.
In the country of the Pomerol appellation, red wine is king, and the merlot is emperor, since it represents the main (80%) of the production, the rest is composed of cabernet franc, cabernet-sauvignon and malbec. These are wines with a very good aging potential, the best vintages can be kept for more than 20 years. With that said, they have the advantage that they can be drunk while they are still young: in the mouth, the Pomerol wines, such as the Chateau Beau-Soleil for example, are powerful and lasting at the same time. If you have a bottle of Pomerol wine, do not hesitate to contact Vins Grands Crus: on our website, everyone can sell their wine at a good price.
